Australian Consumer Law Guarantees
All products sold through RechargeNZ Australia come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy limits the rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
The benefits provided in our warranty policy are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our Warranty Policy
In addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we offer a 12-month warranty on products found to be faulty or damaged, except:
- If expressly stated otherwise on the product listing (please refer to the product page for specific warranty periods)
- In relation to accessories or bonus gifts included with purchases
- If the fault or damage is due to:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage arising from improper assembly or modification
- Damage arising from abnormal use or abuse
- Damage resulting from improper maintenance or lack of care
- Damage to external product packaging only
Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim for damaged goods or missing parts:
- Contact our customer service team via email with your order number
- Include the following information:
- Order number
- Description of the issue (what's faulty, damaged, or missing)
- Photos that clearly show the problem (where applicable)
Please do not dispose of or return items before your warranty claim has been assessed. We may need to inspect the item to process your claim.
Warranty Resolutions
After assessing your warranty claim, we may:
- Send missing parts (if applicable)
- Provide self-repair instructions (if applicable)
- Replace the product (subject to availability)
- Offer an alternative product
- Provide a full or partial refund
For major failures under Australian Consumer Law, you may choose between a replacement or refund. For minor failures, we will repair the item within a reasonable time.
Change of Mind Returns
For change of mind situations (where products are not faulty):
- Requests must be made within 14 days after delivery
- Products must be in original condition with all packaging and accessories
- Health and safety products, bulk purchases, and opened packages are not eligible for change of mind returns
If a change of mind return is accepted:
- A restocking fee of 10% of the item price and shipping fee may apply
- Return shipping costs are typically the responsibility of the customer
Processing Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, refunds will be processed within 7 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for purchase.
Product Recalls
In the event of a product recall, we will contact affected customers with specific instructions for the recall process.
